Best of 2013: Top Microsoft Dynamics AX news of the year

1. Microsoft releases Lifecycle Services v1 for Dynamics AX

If its momentum builds in 2014, Lifecycle Services could prove to be the most important product development of 2013 for Dynamics AX.  The tool set offers a range of capabilities built around customer and partner needs for planning, implementing, and supporting a Dynamics AX solution.

With little to announce in terms of major AX product releases in 2013, Lifecycle Services became one of the few hot topics the AX team could show off this year, both to partners (who have an incentive to better manage their prospects and clients via the platform) and to users/prospects who should recognize the utility of the various tools, from designing and managing workflows to improved access to the AX  support and knowledge base.
