Answers from Microsoft Dynamics CRM MVPs: Closing Out Tough Questions from Decisions Spring 2011

by Donna Edwards
Microsoft Certified Business Solutions Specialist,

If you participated in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM MVP Roundtable session at Decisions Spring 2011, then you know that the audience gave us more questions than we could handle on the panel.  We answered a lot of great questions, but some of them required additional research before responding and others just got into the queue too late. I have put together this supplement with the help of the rest of Dynamics CRM MVP panel to thank everyone who attended the event and to offer some responses to questions you submitted.

Here are the questions that were not answered during the session, with input from the MVP panel:

Q: With multiple developers making changes to a solution, how can changes be tracked to satisfy auditing requirements?

A: Some companies leverage their internal source control tool whichever they use.  In this MSDN article, Setting Up Your Development Environment, Microsoft references a free tool named, Subversion.

Q: I hope someone is going to discuss Dialogs. I am pleased and disappointed at the same time about the functionality. (picklists update!)

A: We're not sure exactly what was being asked here but if you would like to learn more about Dialogs there are a couple of great Dynamics CRM Team articles on the subject:
