Accellos Announces Cloud Managed Service for AccellosOne Enterprise 3PL

Supply chain execution software maker Accellos Inc. announced it has launched a new cloud managed service for its AccellosOne Enterprise 3PL product.

AccellosOne Enterprise 3PL will deliver its services using the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud. The new service, sold on a subscription basis, allows the provisioning of computing infrastructure required to run the software, system and database and administration services and technical support, company officials said.

The managed service offering will be made available to existing and new customers running Accellos' 3PL management software. The cloud service also offers automated system monitoring to proactively identify issues before they impact operations and it enables customers to personalize the system to meet the needs of their 3PL operations.

"Cloud computing technology is perfect for 3PLs," said Ross Elliott, EVP and Chief Technology Officer at Accellos, in a statement. "The cloud provides elastic computing resources that can flex as a 3PL grows. Additionally, it allows the 3PL to align its revenue and expense, because you don't have large capital investment for expensive server hardware with the cloud."

Accellos rolled out its AccellosOne 3PL for Microsoft Dynamics at Convergence. AccellosOne 3PL for Microsoft Dynamics complements Microsoft's financial capabilities by automating the key functions that drive success for a 3PL.

AccellosOne 3PL for Microsoft Dynamics consists of a dozen "apps" including EDI, warehouse management, small parcel shipping, document imaging, configurable handheld designer, appointment scheduling, KPI dashboards and pivots, route and load optimization, labor standards, alerts and events, track and trace, integrated reporting and activity billing.
