Metafile’s recent study of more than 200 executives found that 73 percent of companies internally share invoices
in a paper format. Yet many of these companies already have much of the technology needed to eliminate paper
processes and manage all their accounting documentation digitally. A large segment of manufacturers have a
document management system, employed by the accounting staff to digitally scan, store and retrieve paperwork,
but they have not integrated it with their Microsoft Dynamics ERP solution. Using ERP and paperless document
management as a combined solution is the key to ending the paper chase in corporate offices.
