Teampay integrates spend management platform with Microsoft Teams, Dynamics 365
Distributed spend management platform Teampay has announced new integrations with Microsoft Teams and Dynamics 365.
Teampay's solution helps organizations provide employees with controlled access to company money. It also provides automation to guide employees through the buying process using a conversational UI for approval workflows.
Teampay already has an integration with Slack, and CEO Andrew Hoag told MSDW that business collaboration tools have already proven to help customers drive up their spend capture.
One of the things we learned early on is just how easy it is for the employees to use. A lot of customers move on to Teampay because they don't require their team to log into a different system. And so bringing spend management and bringing the finance team out to where people are actually working versus having them go sort through a Wiki and send an email to some magic inbox to get approval for something, that just totally changes the game. And so early on, we saw love letters from our customers' employees who are like, 'This is so great because it's right here and I always use it because it's there.' So spend capture is a really important part of how we think about the strategy and what's changed in today's world where every single employee is part of the purchasing department.
ERP and accounting system integration has also been an important touchpoint, said Hoag. The company already supports integrations with NetSuite, Intacct, Xero, and QuickBooks, and rolled out its Dynamics 365 support in the last two months. While ERP maintains financial data, Hoag said that Teampay views spend management's role as getting financial data and activity to others in the company who need it.
