A self-described IT late bloomer, newly-minted Microsoft MVP Rebekka Aalbers, did not always see her professional life headed toward technology consulting and Microsoft business applications.

Aalbers , who received her MVP award on December 1, starting working with the Power Platform about three years ago when she was a senior solution consultant at Winvision, a Netherlands-based Microsoft Gold Partner. But her work in the Microsoft channel started in the Office 365 space.

I was an Office 365 consultant. When Power Apps came around, the first version was released mainly through Office 365. So the first people who started messing around with it were Office 365 consultants and people working with SharePoint. That was also my experience. But before I became a consultant, I worked with the online version of Dynamics CRM at a previous company. When they redid the whole platform in 2018 to make it the basis of [Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement], it felt like this was my experience combined in one package. And [I knew that] this was where I was supposed to be.
