Microsoft updates MVP categories and contribution areas for Dynamics 365, Project

Microsoft has been alerting some Dynamics-focused MVPs that the MVP program is adjusting its categories and contribution areas.

The updates are reflected in the latest set of MVP Contribution Areas, including the creation of the "Business Applications" award category. Dynamics AX and CRM-focused MVPs will classify their contributions under a single "Dynamics 365" contribution area under Business Applications. NAV and GP remain separate contribution areas, as do PowerApps and Flow. With the launch of Dynamics 365 Business Central ongoing, the NAV contribution area would seem to also have a limited lifespan.
