Microsoft showcases new industry opportunities with the Automotive Accelerator
Even as Microsoft gears up for the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show later this week, it also setting its sights on IAA New Mobility World.
In particular, Microsoft is making the case for its Automotive Accelerator as part of an overall industry strategy. Industry Accelerators are designed to use Microsoft's Common Data Model, one of the underlying elements of Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform, and bring together services from Azure, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365.
The Automotive Accelerator is geared toward providing scheduling, management and tracking for vehicles and devices, whether manufacturers or dealerships and maintenance providers. Alysa Taylor, corporate vice president for Business Applications and Industry at Microsoft wrote:
