Customizing D365 with event handlers     

On his Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations Enterprise Edition with Sukrut blog, Sukrut Parab wrote that with the Dynamics 365 release, you know have to do most things using extensions and event handlers.

But you still have the option to overlay code. When you create a new package, select the existing packages and modify any standard object that belongs to that package, you're doing overlaying, Parab wrote.
