The beauty of Microsoft Dynamics NAV has been that it caters to the SME segment where the customers are growing companies, their processes are not stabilized and they need a solution which is easy to cutomise. Also, more often than not their budgets are low. Smaller partners meet with most of these requirements including the last and the most important one where they can work on lower budgets for the customers. If Microsoft tries consolidating these with larger companies, either smaller partners would go out of business or Microsoft Dynamics NAV would loose its USP as catering to SME segment. It has also been observed that when a product is taken over by larger companies those requiring lower budgets are often ignored and sometimes killed in the long run.
