Azure Review: Financial performance; Ten years of Microsoft's cloud; Drone tech; New chips; Security Center

Microsoft announced its Q1 2019 earnings results, which indicated a 76 percent growth in public cloud infrastructure revenue, although some noted the biggest slowdown in cloud services growth in three years.

US IT services firm, Cognizant, has nearly completed the process of deploying SAP on Azure for Orica, one of the largest commercial explosives manufacturers. CI Security in Seattle launched new cloud monitoring for Azure, monitoring event feeds, Office 365 event logs and integrating analysts from its Security Operation Center. AirMap, a drone airspace management platform, has set up on Azure to manage drone traffic. The company's announcement came just one day after Sam George, director of Azure IoT wrote a blog post focusing on Azure's potential for supporting drones.
