“Get to Azure cloud faster” with Microsoft’s database migration service (private preview)

Of all the arguments (both fair and unfair) against an Azure migration, the risk of troublesome data migration looms large.

Microsoft's answer: a new database migration service, now in private preview. Microsoft on its SQL Server Blog has offered some details on the service, first announced at last week's Microsoft Data Amp online event. The service is designed to streamline the process of migrating on-premise databases to Azure.
