Vendor Managed Inventory

About This Solution

Advanced Supply Chain SoftwareTM for Microsoft Dynamics® AX powered by I.B.I.S., Inc. was developed based on IBIS' experience having served hundreds of manufacturers and distributors. Designed in partnership with industry and supply chain experts, Advanced Supply Chain SoftwareTM for Microsoft Dynamics® AX is comprised of four modules including Advanced Inventory ManagementTM with specific functionality for Vendor Managed Inventory.

Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) allows your vendors to keep their inventory on your site. With VMI, your warehouses can be mapped as VMI warehouses, where Purchase Agreements will identify VMI line items, and Purchase Orders will be placed from VMI warehouses. VMI will check inventory in the regular location site/warehouse prior to releasing, allowing you to keep inventory down. A vendor portal is included and allows the vendors to track their inventory, Purchase Agreement and Purchase Orders.

The VMI solution allows for creation of a single PO with multiple lines or multiple POs for each item. Manual release of order lines is available as well.

Built to augment and round out Dynamics AX technology, Vendor Managed Inventory and can be implemented alone, as part of the Advanced Inventory ManagementTM module, or as a part of the total Advanced Supply Chain SoftwareTM for Microsoft Dynamics® AX suite.
