Leading Life Sciences Manufacturer Uses Microsoft Tools to Support Double-digit Growth, Expand into New Product Markets and Address Traceability Requirements

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) manufactures and sells short strands of DNA, called oligonucleotides or “oligos”, to customers in academic research, biotechnology, clinical diagnostics and pharmaceutical development.

The company tried to meet traceability requirements of its FDA regulated product line using Paramount Workplace and an outdated enterprise resource planning (ERP) system from Epicor. Epicor no longer supported the legacy product plus it required too many ancillary applications to meet IDT’s needs. To support the domestic and international challenges of their growing business, they decided to search for a new ERP system.
