Using the "What If" Analysis to Predict the Impact of Business Process Changes


A "what-if analysis" measures how changes in a set of independent variables impact on a set of dependent variables . The strength of simulation is that it enables precisely this “what if” analysis, i.e., it allows to “look into the future” under certain assumptions.

To help simulate/predict the impact of potential changes to their processes, the company in this case study made use of process simulation functionality or as we prefer to call it “what-If analysis”.
