Kaufhaus des Westens (KaDeWe) – the second largest department store in all of Europe – had to shut down its luxury brick-and-mortar outlet to ensure health and safety during the COVID-19 outbreak. Faced with an unprecedented business crisis, KaDeWe needed to develop an ecommerce storefront. While a typical ecommerce implementation would take 5-8 months, time was not on the retail giant’s side.
