Deborah Rich-Walker


Deborah was born and raised in New York City and is a Senior Manger within the Finance organization at Home Depot. She has been with THD for 19 years and has held increasingly responsible leadership roles within the Finance organization.

Deborah began her career with Home Depot in the Non-Merchandise department. Some of her varied duties included responsibility for Non-Merchandise expenses including Travel and Entertainment. Deborah is also credited for implementing a robust Purchasing Card program which eliminated millions of high volume and low dollar manual transactions.

Audit Recovery is another area that Deborah managed. During this time frame she founded a “Buyer’s file” audit initiative at THD which help to further boost recoveries.

In her current role, Deborah currently oversees The Home Depot’s Accounts Payable function representing nearly $45B in payables disbursements and approximately 30 million in annual invoices. Deborah has been in this role for the past 5 years and has successful lead the AP Outsourcing effort at THD, which is considered to be one of the largest undertakings in the industry.

Prior to joining THD she held various Accounting leadership positions with Cox Communications.

Deborah is a Certified AP Professional (CAPP) and recently served as the elected President for the GA Chapter of the Financial Operations Institute for 4 consecutive years.

Deborah along with THD is the recipient of the 2011 Pay Stream e-Invoicing excellence award for superior implementation of the supplier self service portal.

Deborah holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Hofstra University in Long Island NY, and earned an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta Georgia.
