The web report viewer for Management Reporter is now available as part of the Management Reporter 2012 RU3 release, as detailed on the Dynamics Corporate Performance Management blog.

The web report viewer was first revealed publicly at the Microsoft Dynamics GP Technical Airlift in September. It has received positive reviews, seen by Dynamics professionals as an important step in modernizing Microsoft's standard financial reporting option for Dynamics ERP.

With nothing to install on the client machine, the Management Reporter (MR) web report viewer aims to boost user adoption, especially in new users, with user-tailored information, collaborative commenting features, drill down to the summary account balances or transaction level details, and, of course, download to Microsoft Excel for further analysis or Microsoft XPS for a read-only format.

The web report viewer also works on the new Surface tablet, with pinch zooming, drilldown to transaction details, and an overall solid looking performance in the touch screen interface:

MR 2012 RU3 also adds the financial reporting data mart for Dynamics GP, a capability that Dynamics GP product management director Errol Shchoenfish told us ought to be the baseline data warehousing option for any Dynamics GP solution if no other solution is implemented.

RU3 also includes the ability to report against Dynamics GP General Ledger and Analytical Accounting information using a single company, as well as improvements in product quality and performance, including resolving more than 35 bugs.
