Sutherland Launches Cloud-Based BPO Solution Based on Microsoft Dynamics AX

Sutherland Global Services has unveiled CLARITY es, an enterprise-wide business solution that combines Microsoft Dynamics AX cloud hosting with business process outsourcing (BPO) services including finance and accounting, procurement, human resources and customer relationship management modules.

CLARITY es helps companies operate more efficiently, in part, by providing advanced analytics-driven insight enabling business execs to make better business decisions, according to company officials.

"We use native AX functionality," Robert Barclay, Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Sutherland Global Services, said in an email. "We configure the system in a Best of Breed configuration and we are able to provide this as service to our clients.  Rather than our clients determining the ‘best method' we take ownership of configuring and training on the best methods."

Because BPO providers are not focused on the mid-market, Sutherland has elected to provide a transformation-enabled FAO (financing and accounting outsourcing) solution to this underserved community, Barclay said.

Barclay explained that FAO can be delivered through various methods including:

  • Lift and Shift - where the FAO provider delivers the service using the same systems and processes as the client currently employs and provides cost reduction through low cost geographies and/or limited process improvement; and
  • Transformation - this requires the provider to deliver the services in a manner that will dramatically reduce costs and improve service in terms of quality, accuracy and timeliness. Transformation requires systems, process optimization and multi-country service delivery capability apart from relevant domain expertise.
