Several options for warehouse management are available within the most recent version of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3.  The two major options represent a basic approach and an advanced approach, and the approach can be warehouse-specific.  Previous articles within this 3-part series have reviewed the two approaches and provided some guidelines for selecting an approach.  The previous articles also reviewed several strategic options.  For some companies and warehouses, the basic approach makes the most sense because it is comparatively simpler, easier to learn and easier to implement.  This third article provides additional insights into the comparative complexity in terms of aggregate functionality and the underlying conceptual models.
