Rockstar 365 wants to rank Microsoft Dynamics professionals on factors that matter

Ever wondered who the top Microsoft Dynamics professionals are in your country? Or how they stack up against resources around the world? The team behind Rockstar 365 believes it has the answer.

Launched during Convergence 2013, Rockstar 365 scores and ranks Microsoft professionals across the globe, and it uses real world factors to do it. The site began with a focus on Microsoft Dynamics professionals, but in just over three months, they quickly broadened the concept and repositioned the site for all Microsoft technologies. They currently have hundreds of individual profiles from people in 37 countries, including more than 50 Microsoft MVPs, according to co-founder Paul Slade.

Measuring meaningful factors

Rockstar 365 bases its rankings on real world, verifiable data about its registrants, Slade explained.  It is the same data that an employer or client would typically use, in a formal or informal process, to try to vet a candidate. Prospects, customers, and employers all judge an individual's capability by assessing four primary elements:

  • Microsoft certifications for general compliance and partner competency levels.
  • Employment history, which speaks to stability and experience.
  • Peer review or community standing. And, most importantly,
  • Project history, which speaks to direct product and industry experience.

"As Microsoft professionals, it's a combination of these elements that we rely on in order to create the perception of our abilities. Incredibly tough to do  given conventional methods," says Slade.
