Neudesic Launches ISV OEM Program for Its Pulse Enterprise Social Product

Amid a flurry of rumors around a possible billion dollar enterprise social deal for Microsoft, another social business stalwart (relatively speaking) in the Microsoft SharePoint and Dynamics CRM space, Neudesic Pulse, is launching a new ISV OEM program.

In kicking off the OEM program, the company has partnered with MadCap Software Inc., a vendor of multi-channel content authoring, to create a complete social layer for content authors and documentation specialists. The new integrated offering, MadCap Pulse, will allow technical authors to create communities to collaborate on projects both inside and outside their organizations.

This partnership further drives Neudesic's vision that enterprise social should work within the systems and applications-including Microsoft Dynamics and SharePoint-where people are already working, not a separate siloed application, officials said.

Recently Neudesic launched Pulse 3.0, which improves its integration with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics CRM. The new version supports direct uploading to SharePoint so that documents can be stored in selected SharePoint sites. Pulse also includes system hubs to collect information from enterprise apps and make them available within the community.

MadCap chief executive Anthony Olivier said his customers want the most advanced authoring tools and technologies available. And by giving customers access to the advanced socially-enabled features of Pulse, MadCap can help its customers take advantage of social collaboration to stay ahead of the competition in documentation quality and other authoring, he said.
