Microsoft to Use Hubwoo's Business Network for Internal Spend Compliance

Microsoft and Hubwoo continue to solidify their relationship with the announcement today that Microsoft  employees will be using a Hubwoo catalog management module in the cloud-based network to enforce spend compliance.

Catalog & Search, a module within The Business Network by Hubwoo, allows buyers to find both goods and services in a centralized, pre-approved, multi-supplier search engine and place orders as easily as they would for online consumer purchases. Hubwoo says it manages over 100 million line items of goods and services catalogs in the cloud.

Hubwoo signed a global ISV (GISV) agreement with Microsoft around Convergence 2013 and announced its first partners in the Dynamics AX space in May. Today's announcement is the latest development in a dramatic few months in the supplier network market as SAP acquired Ariba, whish spelled the end SAP's tight relationship with Hubwoo and dashed Microsoft's previous GISV plans with Ariba. Microsoft and Hubwoo announced their ISV agreement earlier in 2013.

Given how specialized the various global ISV offerings are in the Dynamics AX and CRM spaces, Hubwoo's Business Network is probably one of the very few that could earn an extra vote of confidence by winning selection by Microsoft for its own operations.
