Microsoft partner team reorg: How it impacts Dynamics ERP & CRM leadership

Microsoft's recently revealed reorganization of its partner and services organization, and it appears to have left left much of the Dynamics-related leadership - though not all - unchanged. News of the upcoming executive management changes, which will impact the Microsoft Commercial Business led by Judson Althoff, were first reported by Mary Jo Foley on ZDNet and the details were confirmed for us by a Microsoft spokesperson.

Though this specific reorganization does not appear to have had a major impact on Dynamics-focused teams, there are some notable changes, as well as other recent (but apparently unrelated) changes.

Frank Holland

Some of the changes that Foley reported are related to Microsoft personnel in the Dynamics space like executive hire Ron Huddleston, who joined the company in mid-2016 with a focus on ISV strategy, including AppSource. He will now lead the "One Commercial Partner" business. That group will encompass the ISV team, the Enterprise Partner team led by Victor Morales (who was originally hired in 2015 as vice president of Dynamics Partner Sales & Programs) and Gavriella Schuster's WPG team.

Sales for Dynamics continues to be led by corporate vice president Frank Holland, Foley reported. Holland already held this role in 2016.

A Microsoft spokesperson would not confirm a broader set of executive management roles for the Dynamics product line, but there have been some notable updates.

On the sales and operations side, Neil Holloway, who originally took a leadership role on Dynamics sales and strategy in 2012
