Microsoft Dynamics product news review: Pre-Convergence EMEA edition

by Jason Gumpert
Editor, MSDynamicsWorld.com

Convergence EMEA runs next week in Barcelona.  The event reemerged quickly and somewhat unexpectedly this autumn after being mothballed at the end of 2009. On top of that, the Dynamics CRM 2013 Global Premier Event runs on Monday, November 4. If you are a Microsoft Dynamics news junkie (and who among us isn't?), then the net new announcements from the Barcelona event and the CRM premier could end up feeling a little light, but that is only because of the wealth of updates coming from Microsoft in the last few months, even as recently as last week at the Dynamic Communities user group events.

So this week seems like a good time to review the latest Dynamics AX, NAV, and CRM announcements (Dynamics GP, SL, and RMS aren't on next week's schedule) to hopefully add context to the news going forward.

Dynamics CRM 2013 mobile apps, Netbreeze update, roadmap refresh, upgrade guidance

Dynamics CRM 2013 is now fully available, both through CRM Online and for on-premise and hosted customers. The CRM team delivered some elements ahead of schedule in October.  The set of mobile apps for iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone all hit the app stores last week, and they completed the worldwide availability of CRM 2013 for CRM Online just a few days after it started.
