Altico Advisors Offers Microsoft Dynamics GP and CRM in the Cloud

Altico Advisors, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner has announced its cloud offering for Microsoft Dynamics GP and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Technology Management Concepts and Goodwill of Orange County Team Up on Microsoft Dynamics GP Implementation

Technology Management Concepts (TMC), a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner in Southern California, has been selected by Goodwill of Orange County as its new consulting partner to implement Microsoft Dynamics GP.

Goodwill of Orange County is trying to cut costs and increase efficiencies by replacing as many of their disparate systems as possible with one integrated system, according to officials. The organization selected Microsoft Dynamics GP to integrate its point-of-sale systems and leverage the system's business intelligence and reporting functionality.

Some of the organizations' immediate goals include:

  • Building a foundation based on Microsoft technologies
  • Leverage existing infrastructure
  • Consolidate systems
  • Reduce paper and duplicate data entry
  • Streamline pick, pack, ship, invoice
  • KPI's and performance management

The Goodwill of Orange County is planning to go live with their new system by year end 2011.

Streamline Systems Helps The Greenbrier Companies Go Live on Microsoft Dynamics AX

The Greenbrier Companies Inc., a supplier of transportation equipment and services to the railroad industry, has gone live on Microsoft Dynamics AX using the implementation consulting team of Streamline Systems LLC and the project management of Zethos Consulting.

"Implementing Microsoft Dynamics AX for our railcar plants and in our marine barge facility was a strategic objective for us," said Greenbrier Chief Accounting Officer, James Cruckshank, in a statement. "We now have the tools in place to effectively manage our significant steel inventory and to better control our costs."

Cruckshank said Greenbrier was looking for a partner with relevant industry experience as well as AX experience.

"We found that partner in Streamline Systems," he said. "Their team of consultants brought ‘grey haired' business expertise to enable us to implement our solution in a timely manner."

Cruckshank said combined with the project management of Zethos Consulting, the team delivered the project on time and on budget.

Al Galinot, Senior Partner at Streamline Systems said Greenbrier made a significant investment to improve their business operations so they could manage costs while improving customer service.

Techno Brain Wins New Contract from Humanitarian Initiative Just Relief Aid (HIJRA), Kenya

Techno Brain, an ICT (information and communication technology) solutions provider in Africa, the U.S. and India have closed a new deal with Kenya-based humanitarian organization, Humanitarian Initiative Just Relief Aid (HIJRA), to provide the project monitoring and evaluation system MEsure, a Certified for Microsoft Dynamics (CfMD) product.

It integrates with other third party ERP systems and lets organizations improve project management and process planning, identify potential project problems, track project progress, monitor budget vs. actual for project financials and also provides constant feedback and guidelines to achieve project goals, according to the company.

J. Mendel Selects RMS ConnectPro from Professional Advantage for Dynamics GP Integration

J. Mendel had out grown its current accounting system and was looking for an accounting system that would integrate with Microsoft Dynamics RMS to help reduce the processing time of its wholesale orders, which was the growing part of their business. They wanted to cut the time it took to process retail sales as well as streamline other daily retail processes. So the company needed a software system to extend to all areas of their business. Professional Advantage had the solution, Microsoft Dynamics GP and RMS ConnectPro, according to the company.

"RMS ConnectPro seamlessly integrates Dynamics RMS and Dynamics GP allowing businesses to quickly gather daily retail data such as sales and customer payments into their ERP or Back Office system automatically," said David Fenelon, U.S. Retail Manager, Professional Advantage. After the solution was implemented, the productivity of J. Mendel's accounting staff increased and business reporting was enhanced, according to the company. Additionally, wholesale sales increased 25% since last year-sales that were efficiently handled in the warehouse without the addition of any new staff, according to the company.

Green Beacon Solutions Partners with ClickDimensions

Green Beacon Solutions, a provider of Microsoft Dynamics business solutions and business technology consulting and managed services, has announced a partnership with ClickDimensions, a developer of marketing automation solutions for Microsoft Dynamics CRM to help organizations quickly generate new business and retain customers.

"Coupling Green Beacon's expertise with ClickDimensions unique CRM tool represents an important milestone in our ability to bring the best business technology solutions to our customers," said Benjamin Holtz, President and CEO of Green Beacon Solutions, in a statement.

Holtz said his company carefully researched the market and evaluated various CRM enhancement offerings, and decided the ClickDimensions' tool was the type of product it wanted to deliver to it customers because of its features, performance, and capabilities for marketing and sales-driven businesses.

Levtech Consulting Deploys Microsoft Dynamics AX at Simba Toys

Simba Middle East, a manufacturer and distributor of international toy and stationery brands, has gone live with Microsoft Dynamics AX, in the Middle East.  The ERP solution was deployed over the last six months by Microsoft Dynamics partner, Levtech Consulting.

Levtech Consulting was able to move Simba Middle East on to Microsoft Dynamics AX in less than six months of intense implementation activity, the companies said.

"We are delighted with the successful deployment of Microsoft Dynamics AX at Simba Middle East," said Christian Johansson, Financial Controller, Simba Middle East, in a statement.

Johansson said because the company was expanding it had to standardize its processes to enable sustainable organizational growth. He said Simba selected Dynamics AX because it was easy to use and had a lot of capabilities.

"After a grueling six-month implementation, we are delighted and extremely satisfied with the deployment of Microsoft Dynamics AX at Simba Toys," said Shajith Kumar, Director, Professional Services, Levtech Consulting, in the statement. "Though there were some challenges in areas such as data management and user requirement mapping, we were able to address most system needs through the robust functionality available within Microsoft Dynamics AX, backed by well-tested customizations for certain localized requirements."

Levtech Consulting is also working on creating an Apple iPad-based sales catalog solution, which integrates with Dynamics AX for inventory levels and prices, according to officials. Levtech Consulting is also deploying Targit BI to provide a flexible, dashboard-driven decision support system for Simba Toys.
