TVision Technology To Upgrade SESW To Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013
Sutton & East Surrey Water Plc (SESW) has inked a deal with UK-based Microsoft Gold ERP partner, TVision Technology, under which TVision will upgrade the water company's existing Dynamics NAV 5.0 system to Dynamics NAV 2013.
SESW first implemented Dynamics NAV in 2003. After a review of that system, the water company decided that to use all the latest functionality of Dynamics NAV, it would have to upgrade to Dynamics NAV 2013, according to company officials.
The upgrade, set to go live later in 2013, will give SESW a platform that will support the next phase of its IT strategy.
For example, the Web services tools in NAV 2013 will enable tight integration with third party applications such as the GIS (geographical information system), which is crucial for planning work, officials said. And the improved analysis through the solution's reporting services will enable SESW to operate more efficiently, according to officials.
