Microsoft has released Dynamics GP 2015 to partners via PartnerSource. The new release is officially available today, according to a new Microsoft blog post. Yammer group chatter reported on ERPSoftwareBlog also reveals - unofficially - that the new release will continue pricing and promotions that were already in effect for GP 2013 R2.

The GP 2015 release includes over 120 new features. Among the most fundamental changes introduced in GP 2015 is the Service Based Architecture (SBA), a technical approach and initiative that aims to eventually make any feature or function in Dynamics GP able to be exposed as a service.

GP 2015 also updates to features that were new in GP 2013 R2, including identity management, workflow, and Business Analyzer. The release now supports single sign on through integration with Microsoft Azure Active Directory, according to Microsoft, which will help maintain authentication across Microsoft Dynamics GP, Office 365, and other cloud-based applications.

It also adds requisition management and employee self-service app for time management that are driven by workflow. GP partners got a look at many more of the release's capabilities at reIMAGINE 2014 in November.

‘We're committed to providing GP as a set of services, which allows us to do Business Analyzer, as well as other apps we'll be doing in the future," said Microsoft product marketing manager Errol Schoenfish in October at GPUG Summit 2014. "It allows us to consume that information across any device, across multiple applications."

The new release continues the Dynamics GP team's six month release cadence, with the next two releases in 2015 expected to be called GP 2015 R2 and R3. ...
