Medius sells Dynamics AX consulting business to focus on cloud AP and invoice automation

Medius is selling its Microsoft Dynamics AX consulting business, Medius Dynamics AB, to Danish IT group EG so it can focus on growing its cloud-based AP invoice automation business.

Medius Dynamics AB is a Microsoft ERP Gold partner and has over 40 employees at three locations in Sweden, according to the company.

"Both AP invoice automation and ERP are a part of our roots, but over the years, these two business lines have increasingly become two parallel tracks in our business," said Mikael Lindblom, CEO of Medius, in a statement.

Lindblom said the company decided sell its Dynamics AX business to streamline operations and allow both business lines grow.

"We are confident that EG is capable of further accelerating the strong growth Medius Dynamics has experienced," he said.

Medius will now focus solely on its cloud-based AP invoice automation solutions.

"Our business growing by 30% and a cloud business growing much faster are clear examples of that we are already well on our way to getting there," Lindblom said.

MediusFlow Invoice, which integrates with ERP solutions, streamlines the invoice capture, validation and approval process while adding layers of control and workflows, and pre-defined business rules, according to company officials. It automatically distributes invoices for approval, providing distribution lists, approval and coding rules for audit trail reports to ensure organizations are complying with internal and external rules and regulations.

"The market for ERP consultants has changed and both the clients and the solutions require increasingly bigger partners with greater excellence," said Martin Kåver, MD of Medius Dynamics AB, in the statement.
