Marketing Automation Vendor ClickDimensions Aims For Growth With New Funding from Accel-KKR

Marketing automation and email marketing vendor for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM space ClickDimensions announced it has received a round of growth equity investment from Accel-KKR.

The new partnership will allow the company to continue its growth while making additional investments in existing products and driving further product innovation in the marketing technology space, the company said in a statement. Terms of the investment were not disclosed. 

ClickDimensions CEO John Gravely told MSDynamicsWorld that at least part of the company's plan is to build out the feature set for enterprise customers and up level the company and brand to the level of a "major player".

"ClickDimensions is very profitable so we have a strong ability to invest. And competitors have fallen away over the years," he said.

Indeed, as the marketing automation space has shifted over the last few years with acquisitions, partnerships, and competitors moving in and out of the Microsoft channel, ClickDimensions, which launched in 2010, has steadily grown its business with a focus on Dynamics CRM. They have delivered and improved upon a core product that manages marketing and email as a solution within the context of Dynamics CRM, not as a separate system with an integration. They report having grown to over 2,400 customers and nearly 1,000 reseller partners.

The company ranked no. 227 on the 2015 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America, ranking 25th among software companies overall and first among marketing automation providers. As part of that ranking, they reported 2014 revenue of $10.8 million.
