Integrity Data Launches U-LINC Flexible Workflows for Microsoft Dynamics GP and SharePoint

Integrity Data, makers of HR and Payroll solutions for Dynamics GP have announced U-LINC, a new virtual workflow solution that integrates with SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics GP.  The company plans to add adapters with other Dynamics ERP solutions in future releases, but the solution can work with any ERP solution that uses SQL Server.

U-LINC is branded as a "virtual" workflow solution to explain its flexible architecture that can insert itself into many different parts of the Dynamics GP and SharePoint platforms.  Workflows can be associated with various entities and fields and workflow data associated with items in the system can show the workflow data associated with them.

U-LINC notification"We've had customers set up workflows on user defined fields like approvals of the change or notifications," said Integrity Data president and CEO Patrick Doolin. "Some are multi-step approvals. Some include document attachments with additional information for the approver so that the approver has everything needed to make the decision.  And it is pushing data [from the workflow] back into GP."

For example, a payables manager could receive an email notification of a vendor who posted an invoice without a tax id number.  Since GP has the vendor's email, the workflow can send an email to the vendor requesting the information. When the payables manager gets his step in the process he can see the submitted tax id and enter that one piece of information through the workflow interface, never going into GP to update the data.
