Experlogix Adds Microsoft Dynamics AX Support to New Release of Product Configurator

Experlogix has added support for Microsoft Dynamics AX in this week's release of version 7.0 of its Experlogix Product Configurator solution.  The solution has long supported Dynamics CRM, as well as Dynamics GP and NAV.

Dynamics AX users will be able to use the product to configure multi-line quotes and orders, map configured data back to any AX field, automatically create production orders with configured components and rountings with unlimited levels of subassemblies, and view a bill of materials (BOM) during the order configuration process.

VP of Sales and Marketing Jeff Holway says one of the key goals of their product development strategy is to stay in lock step with the release schedule of Dynamics ERP and CRM product releases. "Customers shouldn't have to wait for us to catch up to get take advantage of the next level of their Dynamics solution, so we work hard to make sure there is no delay" he said.

Another important trends of Experlogix, according to Holway, is the interest customers are showing in extending their configurators to the web.  And with web access, the customers often find that they also want to implement a portal solution. Fellow Dynamics ISV Adxstudio often gets the call to work alongside Experlogix in these cases.

"The majority of our enhancements are based on customer requests...and the idea of multiple devices and mobility is big right now," Holways says. 

As a product configurator, Experlogix most commonly deploys with Dynamics CRM, Holway says, where sales reps can quickly create accurate, rules-based quotes for their clients and prospects, including custom printed quotes, to give the company its best shot at closing the deal ...
