eLogic Launches New Microsoft Dynamics CRM to SAP ERP Integration with Scribe Software

eLogic has announced a solution to ease the integration between Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) for manufacturers. The offering is based on the Scribe Insight integration platform.

There is considerable demand for the Microsoft/SAP integration, says eLogic CTO Lawrence Matusek. "The perception is that companies who run SAP ERP would run SAP CRM for integration. But the feedback we get from front-end customers is, ‘We want the Microsoft look and feel, can you make it work like Microsoft?' The answer is, yes."

The value and value-adds

The manufacturing vertical accelerator utilizes Scribe's pre-built connectivity to SAP and Microsoft Dynamics CRM and combines it with custom data mappings developed by eLogic. The manufacturing vertical accelerator eliminates duplicate efforts from one integration to the next. But however standardized, the integration still requires hands-on expertise.

"With Scribe we're able to do integrations much more quickly, but how to do the mapping is from eLogic," says Matusek. "We know how to align the data models."

He goes on to explain that "The extremes are total customization and a shrink-wrapped integration. The reality is somewhere in the middle, closer to the shrink-wrapped side. But there are always enhancements to Microsoft CRM and SAP ERP, and it's important that those customizations be replicated in the integration."

Speaking of integrations using the accelerator versus from scratch,

"We're now able to get 70%, 80% down that same road [of a custom integration] with the native functionality in the solution we provide," says eLogic President Kris Shields. ...
