Dynamics CRM for iPad: Microsoft Shares Details on First Release

Microsoft took a big step in developing and releasing a dedicated iPad interface for Dynamics CRM.  Not only is it a leading table device from a rival technology giant, but its form and function limitations and Safari-based interface no doubt required lots of extra work to make the solution behave properly.

To help us understand what the mobile Safari-based experience can really do, Anusha Shankar of the Dynamics CRM team has offered up a new article exploring more specifics this first release, and even some insight into its limitations.

The iPad experience delivered in conjunction with Polaris has always been billed as a limited set of functionality focused on the most typical sales scenario - taking a lead from opportunity to close.  Just as interesting is the discussion of where the limitations for the iPad interface have been set.  Some of the most notable, include the lack of Yammer integration or full Skype integration (from grids but not forms).  Some other interesting points noted in the article include:
