Breaking boundaries: How looking overseas for Microsoft Dynamics end user training can pay off

Tailored, role-specific end user training is a critical part of every successful Dynamics AX implementation.  Hiring specialist training consultants to design and deliver the right training program is a tried and true way to boost user adoption and increase the odds of deploying a successful solution. Dedicated training professionals bring ready-to-use curricula, subject matter expertise, and education skills to their clients and it can often be adapted to specific needs with minor adjustments.  And in the last year, the interest in offshore training for Dynamics AX solutions has grown quickly, relying on remote training consultants who can still deliver the right experience even when the training are on a different continent. 

There are some obvious benefits to offshore training delivery - if it is done right.  From my own firm's experience with this model, we have seen that it can reduce cost by using offshore resources and reducing or eliminating travel. And it can speed up training for multiple offices by running classes in a more compressed schedule, especially across multiple locations.  But the model also has its risks if it is used by teams with the wrong skill set or that lack the real world training experience that can translate good training practices into the online/offshore model.

The model works from a cost perspective when the training team already has demonstrable expertise delivering training in global Dynamics AX projects. Experienced trainers will have system knowledge, training templates and basic documentation already in place so that a bespoke programme can typically be developed efficiently.

Offshoring should give an AX customer the benefit of flexibility, whereby an experienced group of AX consultants can add value by reacting well to changing time constraints, skill and resource requirements, and quick on-boarding to a project on ...
