Altec Launches Smart Forms Tool for Improved Document Access, Business Processes

Altec Products, Inc. has released a doc-link Smart Form Toolkit as an enhancement to doc-link 2.7 for SMBs. This toolkit lets customers configure Smart Forms so they can process or create new documents.

Smart Forms are electronic forms that are accessed from the doc-link Smart Client. These customizable doc-link windows can be used to create, index and retrieve documents, as well as structure business processes.

"We embrace technology that allows our customers and partners to streamline transaction processes," said Mark Tague, CTO, Altec, in a statement. "Without writing a single line of code, users can fully configure doc-link windows unique to their business processes, which reduces data entry and processing time."

Merri Jo Cleair, doc-link Product Manager, Altec, said the company some of the applications for the toolkit include creating expense reports, credit card reconciliation, and streamlining HR onboarding with electronic check lists.

Doc-link is an integrated, scalable document management solution that electronically captures documents and automates business processes for mid-level enterprises. The doc-link Smart Form Toolkit is now available to Altec Partners and customers.

In other document management solution news, this week Microsoft Corp. and Equisys formally launched Zetadocs Express for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, a new downloadable document management module that integrates Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 R2 with Microsoft Office 365.
