The economy is shedding jobs left and right but the market
for people with Dynamics GP experience continues to be strong.
The message here is twofold:
- Senior
executives need to cultivate the GP expertise they have, and continue to
be on the lookout for new talent, even if their companies are reducing
headcounts.
- Employees
who resist a new Dynamics GP implementation need to begin looking at the
bigger picture. Companies often implement Dynamics GP to improve
efficiency and obtain better information. As I mentioned in my
previous champion article, it's often not a senior executive
who really makes a difference in a Dynamics GP implementation-- it's
usually someone in the middle like a senior accountant or assistant
controller.
Senior executives desperate to cut payroll send the wrong
message and threaten their companies' underpinnings if they eliminate
individuals with Dynamics GP expertise. In a sense, such executives are
